Sam Ecoff received his degree in Music Theory and Composition from UW-Eau Claire and studied music technology at Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts in Winter Park, Florida. He has been teaching private music lessons since 1988 and has been a member of the piano faculty at the Waukesha County Conservatory of Music since 1997. He is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music. Sam is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, ASCAP, MAPTA (Milwaukee Area Piano Teacher's Association), MMTA (Milwaukee Muisc Teacher's Association), and MTNA (Music Teacher's National Association). He is currently serving as the State Music Technology Chair for WMTA (Wisconsin Music Teacher's Association), the Second Vice President on the state board of the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs, President of LCMC (Lake Country Music Club) and Junior Festival Chair of the Waukesha West District. His articles have been published in Clavier, Piano Notes, and Keyboard Companion magazines, and is the author of three books on music technology.

Sam is very active in the professional music world. His compositions have appeared on many television programs including the Today Show, NBC Nightly News, 20/20, Dateline NBC, The Tonight Show, CSI, The West Wing, Martha Stewart Living, Access Hollywood, Look for Less, How Do I Look, What Not to Wear, America's Most Wanted, Days of Our Lives, Dancing with the Stars, Dr. Phil, NBA Access with Amhad Rashad, and The Teen Choice Awards to name just a few. He was a 2004 winner of the Vienna Symphonic Composition contest, and his pieces have been performed in 42 countries around the world.

In 2007, Sam founded Synthasonic, a manufacturer of high quality modules for modular synthesizers. Featuring unique designs of uncompromising quality in Frack Rack format.

Sam holds students to high musical standards emphasizing music theory, classical technique, and excellent musicianship.
